Stichting Watoto Welfare

Sticting Watoto Welfare is a civil society organization registered in the Netherlands under KVK No. 91282497 and ANBI No. 865604538. Currently, our work focuses on Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where we support vulnerable children to access and remain in formal education while strengthening the economic resilience of their families. Our approach is simple but powerful principle “Learn, Do, and Earn.” We believe that by equipping youth and women with practical skills, entrepreneurial mindsets, and access to finance, they can build sustainable livelihoods, reduce dependency on aid and build their communities.

Mission: To eliminate obstacles to education for vulnerable children and support caregivers, particularly women, in enhancing household income, savings, and stability through skills development, entrepreneurship, and inclusive financial services.

Vision: Watoto Welfare envisions a future where every vulnerable child in the South-Kivu regions can access education and empowered women that promotes peace, resilience, and helping them contribute meaningfully to restore and development of their communities.
