Stichting Dooy werd in 2014 opgericht door een groep jonge energieke jongeren die sterk gemotiveerd waren om op te komen voor de sociaal achtergestelde en kwetsbare gemeenschappen in Centraal Somalië en andere regio’s in Somalië. Onze focus ligt op verschillende terreinen zoals: onderwijs droogte, armoede, democratisering en het nog voortdurende analfabetisme
Stichting Dooy is een ontwikkeling organisatie, niet op overheid of winst gericht. Het is een organisatie die werkt aan sociale ontwikkeling voor de kwetsbare en minder ontwikkelde mensen. Het is een mens gericht niet gouvermentele organisatie. Dooy is een uitvoerende organisatie die verschillende projecten ontwikkeld en uitvoert met technische en financiële ondersteuning van overheid en internationale donoren.

Equipment and construction of classrooms for Secondary school DIINSOOR, Somalia
Dissoor is on of the big cities in the South of Somalia. Here live around 80.000 people. In the past there were a couple of secondary schools. Due to the civil war who last for a long period and was occupied for a long period by the terrorist organization El Shabaab. All the secondary schools were destroyed or are not functioning anymore. |Therefore there is no existing secondary school in the town. There are a couple of primary schools. Children have to go for their secondary education to Mogadishu what is far to dangerous to travel. So we want to establish a new secondary school for 400 children and give them more opportunities in the future.
